Events
Mentorship Events comprise of day-long events that are tailored to architecture students and recent graduates, providing access to leading architects in the field. These events present the voices and stories panellist from different perspectives, including practice and academia with the goal of showcasing diverse modes of practice. The resulting discussions have offered an opportunity for guests to share information about topics that are less commonly discussed.
BEAC Programming and Events include Talks which are roundtable discussions and qualify for one AAA Structured Learning Hour, Dinners where 10–15 attendees gather with an esteemed guest, Mixes which serve as a platform to develop relationships across Calgary’s design community, an annual Mentorship event for students and recent graduates, and more.

Want to learn more about BEACalgary? Please join us for a casual meet and greet at Civic Tavern (213 12 Avenue SW) on January 28th, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm.
This will be an opportunity to meet the new committee members and other members in the industry, learn about proposed 2026 events and initiatives, give feedback and brainstorm ideas, and discuss volunteering opportunities!
BEAC events cater to women at different stages of their careers, spanning from students and recent graduates to those in intermediate and mid-career stages, as well as more established architects. This approach offers a valuable opportunity for networking and mutual learning, fostering a supportive environment where participants can collaborate and contribute to each other’s professional growth. BEAC events are open to all, and importantly, most events are free of charge, offering increased accessibility to participants.
